Who is behind Peppol Box?
Peppol Box is the youngest product of a company that has been doing invoicing since 2008. Flexina, based in Liège, launched it in 2024 for a simple reason: many freelancers wanted Peppol, just Peppol, at a small price.

Where Peppol Box comes from
Flexina has been sending invoices over the Peppol network since 2021 inside its full business management software. In 2024 we carved that part out into a standalone product: for merchants who only needed to receive their invoices, and for part-time freelancers, micro-businesses and small structures that needed Peppol without a full commercial management package.
We also declined it as an API, for companies whose ERP was not ready for the reform or whose custom-built systems could not be adapted. When the Belgian obligation took effect in January 2026, our users had been ready for a long time.
In the Netherlands, Peppol is the standard for invoicing the government, and B2B usage is growing towards the European 2030 obligation. Peppol Box registers you with your KvK number.

Peppol Box connects you to the Peppol network through a certified access point. There is nothing for you to configure on that side.
